We left DHL's competitors behind as we went beyond caring about the shipping needs of small business.
With the added stress of the year that was 2020, small business owners were working double time. The pandemic led to an outpouring of financial support for small business but the Handle With Care program was rooted in a wellness insight mined directly from small business owners feeling overwhelmed and emotionally stressed during these times.
So DHL decided to show business owners the importance of wellness and self care.
We launched the Handle With Care contest, giving business owners the chance to win a $10k wellness stipend, plus $10k of international shipping.
With a social and media campaign, collaborative small business partnerships, and influencer care packages, we used small business owners to spread the word of our contest. Conversation on social media took off with over 85 shares on average per post.
